# Why We Exist

Yield from the real economy, produced by a range of assets including credit, bonds, and real assets, has long been the domain of institutions and accredited investors. At the same time, stablecoins are becoming a core settlement layer for on-chain and real-world finance.

This closure is structural, not accidental. Accredited-investor requirements, high minimum commitments, lengthy paperwork, and the many intermediaries between an asset and an investor have all blocked entry. Many existing on-chain RWA products were also designed for accredited investors only, preserving the same arrangement. As a result, much of this yield stayed out of reach for ordinary investors.

On-chain distribution changes this structure. Tokens are easily divisible, their holding and transfer are programmable, and they face fewer constraints of time and geography. KIP uses these properties to open access while leaving the assets untouched. The assets are managed with the same professional discipline; what changes is who can reach the yield.

Alongside opening access to real-world yield through the Y-Series, KIP backs the companies building toward broader stablecoin adoption through a venture fund.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://kaiainvestmentpartners.gitbook.io/kaiainvestmentpartners-docs/overview/why-we-exist.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
