# Yield8

Targeting higher yield, Y8 also carries the credit and concentration risk of its underlying assets. The short-maturity composition is a design choice to manage that risk through the turnover cycle. Full risk detail follows the [Risk Overview](broken://pages/7536d5239e5170e0406cad00c817dd95fbdbdfb4) and [Risk Disclosure](broken://pages/a98075a2c5c7b231023621a231710af99a3fe783).

**Yield8, High-Yield Private Credit**

Yield8 is a high-yield RWA product. It sources yield from private credit and real-asset financing, packages it into a single portfolio, and issues that portfolio as one ERC-4626 token on Kaia. It targets a higher return than Yield5 and, in exchange, carries the credit and concentration risk of its underlying assets.

**Strategy**

Yield8 captures yield that has generally been accessible only to institutions, by sourcing credit in niche and under-served markets where it is often mispriced. The portfolio draws from several private-credit and real-asset categories, including:

* Maritime and ship financing
* Earned Wage Access (EWA) and MSME credit
* Working capital and supply-chain finance
* Short-dated instruments held for liquidity

The composition favors shorter maturities. This is a deliberate design choice: a shorter turnover cycle is used to manage credit and concentration risk over time.

**Best For Yield Seekers**

Yield8 is geared toward investors seeking a higher yield and comfortable with the higher credit and concentration risk that comes with it. Investors who prioritize stability may prefer Yield5.

**Risk Management**

The principal risks are credit risk (default or delinquency in underlying assets) and concentration risk (weighting toward particular assets or regions). These are managed through collateral or asset backing where applicable, short-maturity composition, and diversification across sources and structures.

Token value moves with product NAV. These are not principal-protected products, nor 1:1 asset-backed products. Target net APY is a target, not a guarantee, and investors may lose some or all capital. Full risk detail follows the Risk Overview and Risk Disclosure.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://kaiainvestmentpartners.gitbook.io/kaiainvestmentpartners-docs/products/yield8.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
